Hu Cheng - Tea Pot Tray

A teaware item that has become popular in eastern Asia over the past few years is the hu cheng, or tea pot tray. Hand-painted and hand-crafted in Dehua County, an area world-renown for its quality of porcelain ware, these porcelain items are intended to be a lighter-weight and smaller alternative to a tea tray.

Although they are designed to have a tea pot, cup, or gaiwan placed on them, they also make a nice appetizer plate or dessert plate.

We have four different designs of the hu cheng: Plum Blossom, Orchid, Bamboo, and Mountain River.
