White Tea Puerh

from $9.00

2 oz (57g) for $32.00, makes 65+ cups

Ingredients: Organic Loose Leaf White Tea Leaves
Name: White Tea Puerh 白茶普洱
Cultivar: Da Bai, Da Hao

During the 2011 spring tea harvest, we decided to use Fujian white tea (Da Bai, Da Hao) cultivars to make our own White Tea Puerh. The puerh processing style that we used is typically utilized in Yunnan Province with fully oxidized tea leaves from puerh tea plants. The end result of the processing that we did is very similar to raw puerh, but with a different base (white tea) of tea leaves. The white tea leaves were hand-picked and withered until they were soft enough to roll. After rolling, the leaves were piled up together for 2-3 days for extra fermentation under close attention. Once that step was completed, the leaves were spread out to fully air dry and were then roasted to dehydrate the leaves. After at least one year of aging, the leaves were re-steamed and compressed into a cake-shaped mold. We are very excited about how well this tea has aged and developed.
