Premium Quality Loose Tea

Health Benefits

Tea was originally used as a medicine in China. Although it is also consumed for relaxation, contemplation, and flavor, there are many believed benefits of tea.

Polyphenols, which are beneficial as an antioxidant, antibacterial, antiviral, and all-around health promoter, are found in tea. While polyphenols are more abundant in green tea, they are also found in oolong and black tea. They help to reduce free radicals, which are known to damage cells and possibly lead to things such as heart disease and cancer.

Some of the believed health benefits of tea are:

  • Lucky UnicornProtection against cancer
  • Lowers cholesterol
  • Reduces tendency for blood clotting
  • Stimulates immune system
  • Fights tooth decay
  • Helps regulate blood sugar
  • Helps regular insulin levels
  • Helps fight mental fatigue
  • Delays onset of athero-sclerosis
  • Good for asthma
  • Weight loss
  • Possibly helps prevent enlarged prostate

Although it is not intended as a cure-all and should be used with other healthy practices, tea, and especially green tea, is often in the news for its health-promoting properties. Click here to get your daily news dose.
